Refunds, duplicate charges and wrong-address purchases
When refunds apply, how we handle duplicate charges and payment errors, and what to do if you bought the wrong address.
The short version
A property job is a one-time digital purchase. Once it's activated and available in your account, it's generally final. We fix billing errors.
When we refund
- Duplicate charges: if you were charged twice for the same checkout, we refund the duplicate to your original payment method.
- Property didn't activate: if a verified InspectionPress error charged you but the property didn't activate, we refund or reverse the charge. Checkout tries to reverse failed charges automatically when it can detect them.
- Rights under the law: nothing in our policy overrides refund rights you have by law.
Refund timing depends on Square and your bank.
When we don't refund
- You didn't use the reports
- A data source returned no records
- An agency's records were incomplete
- An insurer didn't accept a completed form
- The inspection was canceled after you activated the job
Bought the wrong address?
Don't use the job for a different property, and don't change the address on published reports. Contact support with the property address you bought and the correct one. Check the address carefully before paying: a job is tied to the address it was bought for.
What to send us
The property address, purchase date and approximate time, and a description of the problem. Never send a full card number, bank login or password.
