"Access denied" or a report won't open
Common reasons you might see Access denied, and how to get back to your report.
Check which account you're signed in to
You can only open reports in your own account. If you have more than one InspectionPress login, or you're using a shared computer, sign out and sign back in with the account that owns the property.
Open reports from the property page
Report writer links are tied to your signed-in session. If you opened a writer from an old bookmark, a copied link or your browser history, you may see Access denied.
- Go to My Properties.
- Open the property.
- Choose Edit Report on the report you need.
On your phone
The QR code from your computer opens the report on your phone only after you sign in to the same account. It doesn't bypass sign-in.
The report was deleted
Deleted reports disappear from the property and their hosted links stop working. If you deleted one by mistake, contact support to have it restored.
A client can't open a link
Make sure you shared the hosted link from the report's share option, not the address of the writer. Hosted links don't need a login. If a client still can't open it, check that the report is published and hasn't been deleted.
Your work isn't lost when you see this message. Drafts are saved to your account as you write.
