Write a Full Home Inspection report
Document findings with photos and recommendations, use defect categories and the narrative library, and review before publishing.
The Full Home Inspection writer is a complete residential report writer available in every state. It's included in every property job.
Findings
Each finding holds a title, your narrative, photos and a recommendation, such as evaluation by a qualified roofing contractor. Findings are grouped by section, like Roofing or Electrical.
Defect categories
Classify each finding so your client can prioritize:
| Category | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Minor | Usually maintenance or a DIY item, or something that may get worse over time |
| Major | Has the potential to cause injury or property damage |
| Material | An imminent safety concern |
The property page shows the count of findings in each category.
Write faster
- Narrative Library: insert saved narratives instead of typing common comments.
- AI writing help: rewrite or improve a narrative. Each AI generation uses one of your 25 AI requests.
- Recalls and equipment: pin a recall snapshot to a section, or decode a serial number. See Look up equipment serial numbers and product recalls.
What your client receives
The published report includes a summary of findings, your photos, an explanation of the defect categories, nearby service businesses for repairs, and your contact details. Clients can switch to a Summary View, and you can share a full PDF or a summary PDF.
Check your state's requirements
The standard template states that the inspection follows the InterNACHI Standards of Practice. If your state prescribes its own standards or a specific report form, edit the template or confirm the report meets them before delivering it.
