Capture, upload and reuse photos

Take photos in rapid succession, upload from your device, copy photos between reports, and keep private reference photos.

Each photo area in a report has four buttons: Capture, Upload, Permits and More. The Four Point writer has a photo area on each tab; the Wind Mitigation writer has a photo area for the report.

Capture photos in the writer

  1. Choose Capture to open the camera.
  2. Tap Capture repeatedly to build a stack of photos. Use zoom and the torch in dark spaces.
  3. Tap a thumbnail to remove a photo you don't want.
  4. Choose Upload to add the whole stack to the section.

If the live camera preview doesn't work on your device, choose Open camera picker to use your phone's built-in camera.

Upload from your device

Choose Upload to add photos from your phone or computer.

Attach permit evidence

Choose Permits to attach a permit evidence image to the section. See Permit evidence images.

Copy photos between reports

Choose More, then Copy photos, to copy photos to another section or another report in the same job, such as from the Four Point roof section to the Roof Certification. The originals stay where they are, so you don't need to upload the same photo twice.

Private reference photos (CYA Photos)

Open CYA Photos from the Research menu to take photos that stay with the inspection but never appear in the published report. Use them to document conditions, access limitations or anything you want on file. They're grouped by where you took them.

Verify property records and professional requirements with the appropriate official source.More in Report Writers
