Do I need a license? Who can sign regulated forms
What InspectionPress does and doesn't check, and who may sign Florida insurance forms.
You don't need a particular license to create an account or buy a property job. You do need the right qualifications for any regulated report you complete, sign or submit.
What InspectionPress checks
Nothing about your credentials is verified automatically. When you set up your profile, you enter your license type, number and state yourself and certify that they're accurate. Buying a job doesn't grant a license or authorize you to perform inspections.
Florida insurance forms
- Wind Mitigation (OIR-B1-1802): Florida law lists who may sign, including licensed home inspectors with the required hurricane mitigation training, building code inspectors, licensed general, building and residential contractors, professional engineers and architects, and others the insurer recognizes. The person who signs must personally inspect the structure. Licensed engineers and contractors may authorize a qualified direct employee to perform the inspection.
- Four Point and Roof Certification: insurers set their own requirements for who may complete these forms. Check with the receiving carrier.
Your responsibility
You're responsible for the accuracy of everything in a report you sign, including any information the software suggested. Review automatically filled fields, permit data and AI text before you publish.
